WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.
Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll the perfect version.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.
The upgrader is located in every major city, and is accessible at any time to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the item level, however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of The button will show the preview of an item's next upgrade level in the event that there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item and the current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.
A lot of locations offer upgraders for items, including the main Island and some outposts. Cases gg provide both an upgrade discount and a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrading increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or complete quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no item upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety means. This is both a positive and a disadvantage.
In Season 3, the upgrade system was altered a bit, with numerous new features added. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a particular level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading other items to that same item level will cost less even when they belong to another set of gear.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is reduced too, but it is only available when certain milestones are reached.
Crests
Players have a number of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special and are used for specific level upgrades for items. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in 4 ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be spent on equipment that is of a particular rank, and each rank has its own requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the most complex requires as many as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities, or by doing dungeons or raids in all difficulties to get lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.
Using these new currencies isn't that difficult however, the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to get their gear up to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. It is best to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear that you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is especially applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to avail the account-wide discount if all of the slots are full of high-quality equipment.
